Ogbagah Overwhelmed by Support, Appreciates Well-Wishers After Thanksgiving.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ughelli Correspondents’ Chapel, Matthias Ogbagah, has expressed profound appreciation to all who showed love, solidarity, and support during his Chairmanship Thanksgiving Service held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Ughelli.

In a statement signed by the Chapel Secretary, Henry Ubus, the NUJ Chairman particularly appreciated Transfiguration Anglican Church Ekiugbo Ughelli for its spiritual guidance, warm reception, and prayers, which contributed to making the thanksgiving service memorable and uplifting.

Prince Ogbagah also extended heartfelt gratitude to the leadership and members of the NUJ State Council, the NUJ Ughelli Correspondents’ Chapel, family members, friends, professional colleagues, and numerous well-wishers for their overwhelming presence, goodwill messages, and generous support in cash and kind.

He noted that the strong show of unity, love, and encouragement from stakeholders within and outside the journalism profession would continue to inspire him toward dedicated service, responsible leadership, and the promotion of professionalism in the media industry.

The NUJ Chairman prayed that God, in His infinite mercy, would richly bless, reward, and uplift everyone who contributed in one way or another to the success of the thanksgiving ceremony.
